About Us

Sideshow Theatre Company was formed in 1998 with three specific aims:

** to produce rarely performed and lesser known plays and musicals

** to present familiar works in a new or unusual manner

** to develop and nurture the artistic and performing skills of its members.

Since that time the Company has staged over 80 productions involving in excess of 200 performers. Recent productions include Little Women - the Musical, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Full Monty, Into The Woods, Ghetto, Six Degrees of Separation, Big River, The Baker's Wife, Forever Plaid, Children of Eden, Lucky Stiff, Hair, Jane Eyre and The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe.

The Company is based at the Kenneth More Theatre in Ilford, but has also performed at the Stratford Circus, East London.

2008 saw Sideshow broadening its programme with performances at The Greenwich Playhouse, Redbridge Drama Centre and The Bridewell Theatre.

2005 saw the launch of Sideshow Youth a company for 16-24 year olds. Sideshow Youth have already staged numerous successful productions and has it's own website www.sideshowyouth.co.uk
